Academy of Holy Angels teacher, Kevin Chirpich, organizes a food drive for our food shelf during the March Campaign. Arlene, our food shelf coordinator in Mpls talked with him about the WEH this year. He was very interested about particpating. Kevin talked about contacting other schools as well to be part of this effort. We will follow-up with him next month after he has a chance to review information we provided with his team.
Walk to End Hunger, an initiative developed to raise awareness and funds to end hunger in the nine-county metro area of Minnesota and gather thousands of non-perishable food items for the hunger relief organizations in the Twin Cities. It provides the public with a meaningful, accessible, family-friendly opportunity to contribute to this important cause that addresses the most basic of human needs - hunger.
